Point72, the multi-strategy hedge fund firm run by Steve Cohen, has appointed Ramin Safai as its new chief information security officer (CISO). Safai, joins from Jefferies where he served as CISO and CTO, according to a report by eFinancial careers.
Point72, the multi-strategy hedge fund firm run by Steve Cohen, has appointed Ramin Safai as its new chief information security officer (CISO). Safai, joins from Jefferies where he served as CISO and CTO, according to a report by eFinancial careers.
Safai spent 12 years at Jefferies, joining as a managing director and chief information security officer in 2011, before also taking on the additional role of CTO in 2015.
Safai's career in investment banking started at Credit Suisse in 1999, before a five-year stint as a VP at Lehman Brothers as head of identity management, then four years at Barclays as a director of information security.
Point72's previous CISO was John Terill, who left the business in July 2022.
