Former UBS hedge funds specialist Roman Berri is to be named Head of Fund Offering at Julius Baer following long-serving incumbent Patrick Roefs’ decision to step down from the role next month, according to a report by CityWire.
According to a statement by the Swiss bank, Roefs, who has been with Julius Baer for 16 years having initially joined as Head of Product Development before becoming Head of Fund Offering and Selection in 2010, will be taking on a new position from 1 February.
Berri spent six years with UBS, working on its investment management team and leading the investment product solutions team, as well as serving Global Head of Hedge Funds within the bank’s global wealth management division, before leaving in 2019 to join US hedge fund firm Paloma Partners as Senior Managing Director.
