Multi-strategy major Millennium Management has added to its quantitative investment capabilities with the appointment of Anissa Dhouibi, who has joined the firm after departing Citigroup, according to a report byeFinancial Careers.
Dhouibi left Citi at the end of March after a six-year tenure, during which she most recently served as global head of equities quantitative analysis. Her exit followed the completion of the latest bonus cycle, a common departure point for senior banking professionals.
She has since confirmed her move to Millennium, describing her time at Citi as a significant chapter in her career and expressing enthusiasm about her next role at the multi-manager hedge fund.
Details of her position at Millennium have not been disclosed, and it remains unclear whether she will establish a new investment pod or join an existing centralised quant team.
Her departure prompted Citi to begin a search for a successor in London, with the bank initially advertising for a senior hire to lead its equities quant function. The role called for extensive experience and advanced academic credentials. The listing has since been withdrawn, indicating that the position may have been filled or reassigned internally, although no official announcement has been made.
