Multi-strategy major Millennium Management is set to name Ken Pang, the former Co-Head of Markets at Credit Suisse, as its new Head of Equities, Asia based in Hong Kong, according to a report by Risk.net citing people familiar with the matter.
Pang joined Credit Suisse’s Hong Kong operation in 2009 from UBS as Co-Head of Equity Derivatives and Convertibles for the Asia-Pacific region, before taking on a Co-Head of Markets role in November 2022. He left the bank after it was acquired by rival UBS.
Pang’s departure from Credit Suisse was reported just hours after UBS completed the takeover of its stricken rival in June 2023.
