Vam Funds, an investment boutique, has appointed Linda McLaren as business development manager for Asia.
McLaren joins Vam Funds from Standard Bank where she has worked as business development manager for Southern Europe and Africa since 2007.
She has worked in the financial services industry for over ten years. She began her career in 1999 with Royal Skandia Life Assurance and progressed to a sales role for the Africa and Middle East regions, before joining SMP Partners in 2005 as business development manager for the UK.

Atlantic Asset Management, Montage Asset Management and Palmer Square Capital Management have formed a joint venture to make seed investments in hedge funds.
The Seed Fund is designed to not only provide investment capital to emerging hedge funds, but also to supply investment managers with access to the combined platform, including the distribution channels, business and investment infrastructure, of Atlantic, Montage and Palmer Square.
The fund will primarily target talented emerging hedge fund managers with existing track records or experienced investment professionals spinning out of investment banks and established hedge funds to launch new funds.
