Odey AM to shut up shop

Odey Asset Management, the hedge fund business founded by Crispin Odey who was ousted in June following multiple allegations of sexual assault and harassment, which he denies, is to close completely, according to a statement on the firm’s website.

Several Odey funds along with others from the Brook Asset Management division, have already either closed or been transferred to other fund management business.

The statement confirms the closure of Odey Asset Management, Brook Asset Management and Odey Wealth.

Former Odey managers James Hanbury and Jamie Grimston have found a new home at Lancaster Investment Management, while Oliver Kelton is now at SW Mitchell Capital, Freddie Neave is at Bainbridge Partners, and Geoffrey Marson has joined Canaccord Genuity in Guernsey.
