Ogier adds new funds and digital assets Partner in Hong Kong

Related Topics

Offshore law firm Ogier has appointed Dennis Li as a partner in its Hong Kong office, bringing in expertise in investment funds – including hedge and private equity funds – and digital assets. Li joins Ogier from Travers Thorp Alberga, where he served as counsel.

Specialising in fund formation and digital assets, Li’s experience also covers real estate, and cryptocurrency funds. His addition is part of Ogier’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the rapidly evolving virtual asset space in the region. Li will provide advisory services on token issuance, decentralised autonomous organisations (DAOs), and regulatory compliance in the Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands.

Before his role at Travers Thorp Alberga, which he took on in 2022, Li held in-house positions at CCB International (Holdings) Limited and Huobi Technology Holdings Limited. He has also worked at international law firm Simmons & Simmons and offshore firm Walkers.

Ogier now has 16 partners in its Hong Kong office, including restructuring and insolvency expert Joanne Collett, who joined the firm from Walkers earlier this year.
