“We are delighted to welcome Kevin to our growing team at Navy Capital,” says John T Kaden, Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Navy Capital. “Kevin’s substantial experience building and managing best in class hedge fund operations will be a tremendous asset to Navy Capital at a time when institutional investors are increasingly looking for ways to gain exposure to secular trends in the global cannabis industry. As more sophisticated institutional investors enter our fund, we are committed to ensuring that our operational capabilities exceed the expectations of our clients.”

“I am excited to join John and Sean at Navy Capital, which has quickly established itself as the thought leader in the global cannabis sector,” says Gahwyler. “The cannabis investment community is shifting from retail/high-net-worth investors to institutional investors, as the latter recognise the historic growth rates and the large scale potential of the global cannabis industry.  Navy Capital’s deep domain expertise and relationships in the industry are inherent competitive advantages that will be increasingly important to investors in our fund.”

Gahwyler joins Navy Capital from Twin Capital Management, an event-driven hedge fund with over USD750 million in assets under management, where he served as Chief Operating Officer and Director of Business Development. At Twin Capital, he was responsible for transforming the firm’s operations and business processes to meet the requirements of its institutional investor clients.
