Quant equity specialist Harindra de Silva, along with longtime colleagues Ryan Brown and David Krider, has joined AJO Vista, the boutique quant firm led by founder Ted Aronson, according to a report by Pensions & Investments Online.
The report cites Ted Aronson, the quant boutique’s founder and managing principal as confirming that de Silva took on the role of head of research at AJO Vista on 16 June, having left Allspring Global Investments earlier this year. De Silva had been with Allsring since since it acquired Analytic Investors in 2016 – a business he originally founded and led as Principal Owner.
Although AJO Vista currently manages a relatively modest $200m book, Aronson also confirmed that a forthcoming partnership with a larger long-only boutique is imminent.
Jesse Barnes remains CEO of AJO Vista, with de Silva taking over the head of research duties.
