Ripple, a fintech offering crypto solutions for businesses, has launched digital asset spot prime brokerage services for the US market, marking a major step in its expansion into institutional crypto trading and financing infrastructure.
The move follows Ripple’s acquisition of multi-asset prime broker Hidden Road, completed in October, which has now been integrated under the Ripple Prime brand. The new platform offers institutional clients over-the-counter (OTC) execution and clearing across major digital assets, including XRP and RLUSD, alongside access to FX, derivatives, swaps, and fixed-income products.
Ripple Prime’s new capabilities enable cross-margining of OTC spot holdings with broader digital asset portfolios, including CME-listed futures and options — a feature likely to appeal to hedge funds and trading firms seeking integrated access to both traditional and crypto markets.
The launch positions Ripple Prime as one of the few platforms offering multi-asset prime brokerage across digital and traditional instruments for US institutional investors.
