Sanlam Investments Multi-Manager has named Lethu Zulu as its new Head of Hedge Funds, effective 1 October, 2024, with responsibility for overseeing the management of both local and global hedge fund portfolios, according to a report by FA News.
Zulu is returning to the firm from Alexforbes Investments where he served as Portfolio Manager of Global and Specialist Portfolios, having previously worked at Sanlam Investments Multi-Manager from February 2016 to November 2021.
Zulu is currently completing his Master’s degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics from the University of the Witwatersrand and has completed the Programme for Management Development at the University of Cape Town.
In his earlier tenure at Sanlam, Zulu was involved in screening, due diligence, and monitoring of funds across asset classes. He was also a member of the investment committee that evaluated and selected funds for client portfolios and contributed to model portfolio development and asset allocation.
