Société Générale’s co-head of fixed income and currencies in Asia, Adam Reynolds, has left to join hedge fund manager The Cambridge Strategy (Asset Management) Ltd as Asia chief executive reported the Wall Street Journal this week. The London-based hedge fund has offices in Sydney, Hong Kong and New York and specializes in a number of strategies ranging from EM equities and macro to Asian equities and currencies, whose investment views are expressed in a series of seven funds. Reynolds will manage portfolios at TCS in addition to selling its funds to institutional clients and family offices. He doesn’t actually commence the role until January. The reasons for Reynolds leaving the French bank are not known but TCS’s chief executive Peter Henricks said the firm was “keen for Adam to join us, looking after our businesses and helping to grow them”. Before working at Soc Gen Reynolds was the European head of global currencies flow sales at Merrill Lynch.
