Natural gas trading specialist Ron Ozer has made a strong comeback after a tough start to the year, with his Miami-based hedge fund, Statar Capital, up 23% through mid-December, reversing losses of 13% in the second quarter, according to a report by Bloomberg.
The gains stem from strategic wagers in US natural gas, European gas, and oil markets, according to unnamed sources.
Energy prices have eased since 2022’s records, but markets remain volatile due to geopolitical tensions, supply disruptions, and extreme weather.
