Multi-strategy hedge fund major Millennium Management has lost the services of four energy professionals – two senior natural gas traders, a crude trader and a natural gas analyst, according to a report by Bloomberg.
The report cites unnamed sources familiar with the situation as revealing that Jeffrey Nietschmann and Dale Gibbard, both senior portfolio managers specialising in natural gas, are leaving the firm along with Kristen Procinsky who focuses on crude, as well as analyst Tackin Tarighian.
Nietschmann joined Millennium as a senior portfolio manager around two years ago, having previously worked at both Trailstone Group and Merrill Lynch. Gibbard previously worked at Citadel, where he managed the European gas book for the global trading strategy team, while Procinsky worked at BB Energy and AOT Energy. Tarighian was formerly an analyst at Citadel.
