Quant hedge fund firm Two Sigma Investments has named Sarah Moore Fass – currently Chief Human Resources Officer at Bridgewater Associates – as its new Chief People Officer, a role created to enhance the firm’s focus on talent and organisational culture.
Fass will join Two Sigma in March 2025 and report to co-CEOs Scott Hoffman and Carter Lyons.
With more than 2,000 employees and a diverse portfolio across real estate, venture capital, and other affiliate businesses, Two Sigma oversees approximately $60bn in assets as of 1 November. Fass’s role will encompass overseeing Two Sigma’s human resources initiatives, focusing on “people, culture, and employee experience,” according to a press statement.
Fass’s appointment comes during a period of transition at Two Sigma, after Co-Founders, John Overdeck and David Siegel, stepped down as co-CEOs, with Hoffman and Lyons taking on leadership of the firm on 30 September. Both Overdeck and Siegel remain involved as Co-Chairmen.
At Bridgewater, Fass led HR strategy and operations since joining the business in 2016.
