UK-based quantitative investment firm Winton has entered the US mutual fund market for the first time after assuming the role of investment adviser to the Altegris Futures Evolution Strategy Fund, replacing Altegris Advisors LLC.
Effective 28 October 2025, the vehicle has been rebranded as the Winton Managed Futures Trend Fund, marking the first time the firm’s flagship systematic trend-following strategy will be available in a US mutual fund structure.
The fund will implement Winton’s established major-market trend approach across global futures and currency markets — a strategy already deployed through the firm’s UCITS, private fund, and managed account formats since 2018.
