The UK's Takeover Panel is organising two seminars concerning the new Disclosure Rules on Dealings in Derivatives and Options.

The seminars are being held in the interests of informing concerned parties about the rule changes (introduced by Response Statement RS 2005/2 of 5 August) and coming into effect on 7 November.

The Panel does not find it easy to contact / engage the hedge fund community and wants to make sure that people are aware that the Panel regards consultation and "accessibility" as key to their modus operandi.

With the new Disclosure Rules coming into effect on 7 November, the Panel wishes to ensure that people are "au fait" with them and with the new forms to be used etc.

The two seminars are being held about a month before the Rules come in, on the following dates:

(1) 3 October (from 5 pm), at the offices of Clifford Chance, and

(2) 10 October (from 5.30 pm), at the offices of Freshfields
Bruckhaus Deringer.
