A central and unified platform for Power, Oil, Gas, Coal and Emissions Trading in the regions of Central and South Eastern Europe is currently being established. Current fragmentation in the power market should be addressed as integration will help in generating transparent and efficient markets. But, with many complexities in the market including a problem with multiple borders and monopoly shareholders in these regions, the CEE and SEE is also in need of regeneration. Priorities which need addressing include congestion management, generating market transparency, understanding how to get around barriers to entry and finding regulatory competency.
