JonesTrading adds industry veterans to outsourced trading department
JonesTrading Institutional Services (JonesTrading) has appointed industry veterans Chris Macaluso and Jon Everett to its European and US outsourced trading teams, respectively.
The moves come after a year of tremendous growth for the firm, and will further augment JonesTrading’s award winning outsourced trading offering.
Macaluso’s hire continues the expansion of JonesTrading’s European outsourced trading business, which has seen significant growth following the hiring of Peter Sellers in 2019. Macaluso was recently Head of Equity Sales Trading at Handelsbanken Capital Markets. He also held buyside trading roles at Putman, Soros and Lucerne. Macaluso is based in JonesTrading’s outsourced trading headquarters in Charleston, South Carolina.
Everett joins JonesTrading from Echo Street where he was Head of Global Trading and spent over seven years leading trading operations. He will bring his experience managing execution, broker relationships and operations to JonesTrading’s client base.
Alan Hill, CEO of JonesTrading, says: “Given JonesTrading’s history and profile as an agency focused execution firm we believe we are well positioned to continue to grow our Outsourced Trading department. We are excited to add high quality traders like Chris and Jon to our team. We have always believed that our firm’s employees are our biggest asset and the addition of both Chris and Jon will help us continue to provide the highest client service level in our industry.”
Jeff LeVeen, JonesTrading’s Global Head of Outsourced Trading, says: “We have been extremely focused on building the industry’s best outsourced trading offering. Our business combines leading edge technology, through our outsourced trading client portal AlphaVision, with the highest caliber trading and execution personnel to service our clients. I am delighted to welcome these two industry veterans to our team.”
