Digital asset investment products saw inflows totalling USD9.3 billion in 2021, a 36 per cent increase from the USD6.8 billion seen in 2020, according to the data release bu CoinShares.
While the increase from 2019 to 2020 was significantly higher at 806 per cent, CoinShares says this represents a maturing industry, with total assets under management (AuM) ending the year at USD62.5 billion.
The total number of coins in investment product form has expanded from nine to 15, with 37 investment products launched in 2021 versus 24 in 2020 bringing the overall total to 132, a sign of the growing demand and popularity of digital assets, according to CoinShares.
