Jack Seibald

Managing Director/Global Co-Head, Prime Brokerage

Jack Seibald is Managing Director – Global Co-Head of Prime Brokerage Services. Mr. Seibald co-founded Concept Capital Markets, LLC, and until its acquisition by Cowen, served as a Managing Member of the firm. During his tenure with Concept Capital, Mr. Seibald was involved in the management of all aspects of the firm’s operations, with a particular emphasis on business and client development and legal matters. Mr. Seibald also served as a member of the Board of Managers of Concept Capital Holdings, LLC, the company’s former parent, Concept Capital Administration, LLC, which provided administrative services to the company and its affiliates, and ConceptONE, LLC, which provided risk and performance analytic solutions, middle and back office support services, and regulatory reporting services to investment managers. Mr. Seibald has been affiliated with the firm and its predecessors since 1995 and has extensive experience in prime brokerage, investment management, and investment research dating back to 1983.
From 1997 to 2005, Mr. Seibald was also a Managing Member of Whiteford Advisors, LLC, an investment management firm, where as co-founder, he co-managed several pools of funds. He began his career at Oppenheimer & Co. as an equity analyst covering the retailing industry and has also been affiliated with Salomon Brothers, and Morgan Stanley & Co in similar positions. Mr. Seibald also operated The Seibald Report, Inc., an independent research firm specializing in the retailing sector. For some fourteen years through 2017, Mr. Seibald served as a member of the Board of Directors of Kingstone Companies, Inc. a publicly traded insurance holding company, during which time he gained extensive experience in corporate policy and governance matters.

Michael S. Rosen

Managing Director/Global Co-Head, Prime Brokerage

Michael Rosen is Managing Director, Global Co-Head of Prime Brokerage Services. Mr. Rosen co-founded Concept Capital Markets, LLC and until its acquisition by Cowen, served as a Managing Member of the firm. During his tenure with Concept Capital, Mr. Rosen was involved in the management of all aspects of the firm’s operations, with a particular emphasis on business and client development and technology implementation. Mr. Rosen also served as a member of the Board of Managers of Concept Capital Holdings, LLC, the company’s former parent, Concept Capital Administration, LLC, which provided administrative services to the company and its affiliates, and ConceptONE, LLC, which provides risk and performance analytic solutions, middle and back office support services, and regulatory reporting services to investment managers.

Mr. Rosen, who started in the investment business in 1985, has broad experience in prime brokerage services, portfolio management, equity research, and investment banking. He has been affiliated with the firm and its predecessors since 1997 and co-founded Whiteford Advisors, LLC, an investment management business. As a Managing Member, Mr. Rosen co-managed several pools of funds under that umbrella through the end of 2005. His career began as an equity analyst at Drexel Burnham Lambert covering the aerospace and defense industries and conglomerates. He subsequently moved to Smith Barney to cover the same groups. Mr. Rosen then joined Steinhardt Partners, L.P. After working at Ethos Capital Management, Inc. as a portfolio manager responsible for a wide array of industries ranging from industrials to the consumer sectors, Mr. Rosen joined Lazard Freres, LLC and helped drive that firm’s effort to build up its capital markets business.

Kevin LoPrimo

Managing Director and Head, International Prime Services

Kevin LoPrimo is Managing Director and Head of International Prime Brokerage. He joined Cowen following nearly five years at Global Prime Partners, where he served as Managing Director, Head of Fund Services and Equity Finance. In this position, Mr. LoPrimo managed the creation of the first European-based Boutique Prime Broker that provided full prime brokerage services to hedge funds with assets under management of less than $200 million. Previously Mr. LoPrimo worked at UBS and Merrill Lynch in various prime brokerage roles. He began his career at Goldman Sachs International in 1983 and spent the next 19 years at the firm in various capacities, including prime brokerage client service in New York and Tokyo and ultimately in London, where he served as Executive Director, International Prime Brokerage Client Service and Product Development.
