Triple A Partners has made its second investment after entering the seeding and distribution business by providing an initial USD25m for the Jadeite Capital Asia Pacific Absolute Return Fund, a pan-Asia equity long/short fund.
The fund, managed by Greg Jones, has a nine-month track record and has returned more than 22 per cent since launch. ‘We have an opportunity to differentiate ourselves during this challenging market period,’ Jones says.
‘Greg left Clay Findlay as a board member and senior portfolio manager with an excellent investment track record to form Jadeite Capital,’ says Hans Tiedemann, chairman of Triple A Partners, which is formally known as Asia Alternative Asset Partners (Cayman).
‘We are delighted to seed Greg Jones and Jadeite Capital, which benefits from Greg’s 20 years’ experience investing in Asian companies. His life cycle approach to growth stocks in the fastest growing region in the world has led to very good performance in both strong and weak markets since the launch of the fund. We expect Jadeite’s success to continue.’

Jadeite Capital Investments Advisors is a New York-based manager founded by Jones with backing from Triple A Partners. The firm seeks to generate steady sustainable above-average absolute returns in the Asia Pacific region by exploiting price and valuation inefficiencies.
