Société Générale Securities Services launches benchmarking service for securities lending

Société Générale Securities Services has launched the Global Performance Benchmarking
Programme, a web reporting tool that enables SGSS clients to monitor closely the performance of their agency securities lending arrangements.

The programme offers clients market analysis and securities lending performance analysis, utilisation rate and revenue reports. It provides a securities lending benchmark tool powered by Data Explorers, a securities lending data provider, as well as dialogue capabilities with the SGSS securities lending trading and cash reinvestment desks.

Clients using the Global Performance Benchmarking Programme will receive analytical reviews of SGSS securities lending and cash reinvestment performance, along with daily information about securities lending and cash reinvestment activity and performance.

They will be able to compare the SGSS securities lending and cash reinvestment activity on their portfolio with the industry average, while monitoring more closely the performance of their securities lending trading strategy. This is designed facilitate the dialogue between clients and their agent and allow them to optimise their strategy by switching assets between securities lending providers.

Société Générale Securities Services currently ranks as the eighth largest custodian worldwide with EUE2.73bn in assets under custody at the end of March, and provides custody and trustee services for 3,074 funds and the valuation of 5,158 funds representing assets under administration of around EUR499bn.
