Deloitte, the business advisory firm, has appointed Nick Robinson as a director in its reorganisation services team.

Robinson, a former restructuring and distressed funds attorney with Walkers, the offshore law firm, was based in the Cayman Islands from 2002, and will be working closely with Deloitte's funds advisory team.

Robinson specialises in corporate restructuring and cross-border insolvency but has particular experience advising in distressed fund situations. He has practiced in Australia, the UK and the Cayman Islands.

Nick Dargan, partner and head of UK reorganisation services at Deloitte, says: 'We are delighted to have someone of Nick's calibre join our team. His experience in advising many of the largest distressed funds of recent years will prove invaluable, particularly during these difficult times, and will help to ensure that we continue to offer first class services to our clients.'

Robinson adds: 'I am pleased to be joining such a high profile and respected firm, and look forward to working with the different areas of the business to ensure that my distressed funds expertise is capitalised to the benefit of our clients.'
