WW Advisors, a UK-based real estate boutique providing investment and financing advisory services throughout Europe, has appointed Jonathan Edmunds as director to originate, analyse and execute deals.
Edmunds brings nine years of experience in real estate and a wealth of experience in the fields of consultancy, debt markets, corporate finance and direct investments.
Prior to WW Advisors, Edmunds worked in the corporate finance division of Lazard, advising listed real estate companies, private equity funds and hedge funds on mergers, acquisitions and asset disposals. He was previously at Deutsche Bank, working in the European commercial real estate group, underwriting real estate loans for CMBS exits incorporating all real estate sectors and most European jurisdictions. Jonathan is a qualified chartered surveyor.
Edmunds says: “I am delighted to be part of WW Advisors, joining David Swan’s team. My experience blends well with the existing expertise and with the huge opportunities that will arise for the new Middle Eastern capital source that we are advising. Taking the prevailing market conditions into consideration, I believe that our clients want guidance for long term, value-added investments.”
David Swan, managing director of WW Advisors, adds: “At this point in the cycle it is all about understanding the fundamentals of property values and revenues, which Jonathan clearly does. Equally as important, he has detailed experience in debt and equity markets, including the full range of exit strategies. This will prove useful to our clients and his presence is especially welcome given the increasing number of opportunities we are currently evaluating.”
