SkyBridge Capital, a global alternative investment firm, has strengthened its worldwide operations with the addition of Max von Bismarck (pictured) as a partner and CEO of the firm’s international operations.

Previously director and head of investors at the World Economic Forum, von Bismarck is based in Zurich, Switzerland. He has oversight of SkyBridge’s operations and marketing activities for its flagship fund of funds, seeding and hedge fund advisory services throughout Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia.

"As we respond to increased investor appetite from around the world, Max’s experience and international network will serve as a great asset throughout the overseas markets," says Anthony Scaramucci, managing partner of SkyBridge Capital.

While with the World Economic Forum (WEF), von Bismarck built and led an international team based in New York and Geneva, responsible for all global activities and relationships of WEF related to hedge funds, private equity, institutional investors, family offices and sovereign funds. During his tenure, he was also responsible for WEF’s Global Agenda Council on "The Future of Long-Term Investing" and was a trustee of the WEF USA retirement plan. Earlier, von Bismarck was a managing director at PublicOne and a director legal at Mondus Limited.

Von Bismarck studied law and modern history at St John’s College, Oxford University and Humboldt Universitat zu Berlin and holds an executive master’s degree in global leadership from the World Economic Forum (a program in collaboration with Wharton School of Business, Columbia University, INSEAD and London Business School). He is a senior advisor on global business at the Asia Pacific Research Center of Stanford University, a senior advisor for Europe at the Nicolas Berggruen Institute and continues to serve as a senior advisor to the World Economic Forum.
