Former Liontrust Asset Management CEO Nigel Legge’s new firm Vinculum has launched the IM Vinculum Global Equity fund, a Ucits-compliant product. The firm specializes in long-only equity funds and uses a single investment process called StockR8 – a process that uses an 8-stage empirical method to identify and rate the relative economic quality of approximately 35,000 global listed companies. The IM Vinculum Global Equity Ucits has a portfolio of 50 global stocks rated by the StockR8 process as being of the highest economic quality. The aim of the fund is to provide long-term capital appreciation in excess of the MSCI World Total Return index. Minimum initial investment in the fund is GBP1,000. Further long-equity funds targeting Asia ex-Japan, Japanese, European and US equities are believed to be in the pipeline according to the firm’s website.
