Former Putnam Investments head of investment Steve Oristaglio is joining Gottex Fund management as head of structured products.

Former Putnam Investments head of investment Steve Oristaglio is joining Gottex Fund management as head of structured products.
Oristaglio, who will also serve as a member of the firm’s executive committee, has over 26 years experience in the funds management and investment banking sectors.
From 1998 to 2005 he was a senior managing director at Putnam Investments, Boston but his most recent role at Putnam was as head of investments with responsibility for all investment activities, which comprised fixed income, equities, currency, structured, global asset allocation, alternatives and trading. He was also a member of Putnam’s executive board.
Prior to Putnam, Oristaglio spent 10 years with Swiss Bank Corporation/UBS as managing director, global head of fixed income/interest rate Ppoducts (four years in New York and six years split between London and Zurich). He was also chairman of the interest rate committee with responsibility for all interest rate activities including capital markets, syndication, bond trading, derivatives, loan portfolio and sales/distribution.
From 1985 to 1988 Oristaglio was vice president, international bond trading at Salomon Brothers International, London. Earlier in his career he held a number of positions across the banking and finance sector.
Oristaglio has a BS/BA in Accounting from Bucknell University and an MS in Agricultural Economics from the University of Delaware.
