Zodia Markets, an institutional digital asset exchange and brokerage, has appointed Buford Scott as its chief financial officer (CFO).
Led by chief executive officer, Usman Ahmad, Zodia Markets is an institutional focused exchange and brokerage that enables expert navigation of the digital asset markets. It is a majority-owned subsidiary of Standard Chartered and built in partnership with OSL – which is a Hong Kong SFC-regulated Digital Asset Trading Platform, and a subsidiary of Hong Kong Stock Exchange listed BC Technology Group.
Scott has extensive experience of running multi-billion dollar trading businesses and most recently has operated as a CFO in a number of start-up fintechs. He started his career in the commodity markets, moving from derivatives dealer to quantitative proprietary trading, and finally to algorithmic asset management.
