Quantitative equities manager RQI Investors has expanded its UK fund range with the launch of the RQI Global Fund, a UK UCITS OEIC providing professional and retail investors with access to the firm’s flagship Global Value strategy.
The launch marks the latest expansion of the firm’s distribution footprint, following the introduction of an Irish UCITS version of the strategy in 2025. RQI Investors, part of the First Sentier Group, manages £17bn in assets as of 30 June 2026.
The Global Value strategy was established in 2008 and now manages more than £2.9bn globally. According to the firm, the strategy has generated annualised net returns of 12.68% since inception to 31 May 2026. It also reported top-quartile gross excess returns over three, five and 10 years versus peers in the Nasdaq eVestment Global All Cap Value Equity universe.
The RQI Global Fund invests in an actively managed portfolio of global equities using the firm’s systematic investment process, which is designed to identify undervalued companies while avoiding some of the traditional drawbacks associated with value investing. The strategy is value-oriented and contrarian, with a portfolio characterised by higher dividend yields and lower valuations than global market capitalisation indices.
Andrew Francis, chief executive of RQI Investors, said: “We’re pleased to expand our UK offering through the launch of the RQI Global Fund and provide greater access to our highly successful Global Value strategy. We have strong conviction in our strategy and approach which is underpinned by a 17-year track record and a strong team experienced in global equities.”
He added that the strategy is positioned to help investors navigate increasing market concentration in both US and emerging market equities.
The fund will be managed by the existing Global Value investment team, including portfolio managers Dr Joanna Nash, Dr Ron Guido and Dr Wang Chun Wei, alongside head of investments Dr David Walsh. The firm said each member of the team has more than 15 years’ experience in financial services and has been with RQI Investors for around six years.
Since its establishment in 2008, RQI Investors has grown its assets under management to £17bn and expanded its investment team to 22 professionals, including six with PhDs in finance, economics and statistics.
