CAMRADATA is boosting its client research and investment analysis services with the appointment of two new employees. Business broadcast journalist Romil Patel has been appointed at Funds Europe as Asia and Middle East Editor and research lead, and Tom Ashford joins the CAMRADATA team as Associate – Database and Investment Research.
With their support, CAMRADATA will expand its research offering to meet growing demand from asset managers and investors for in-depth analysis of asset classes, asset managers, services providers and the financial markets in which they operate to better inform their investment decision making.
Patel has worked at prestigious companies including Bloomberg TV, where he interviewed leaders from business and government, Newsweek Media, the International Business Times and the BBC.
In his new role, he will produce Funds Global MENA and Funds Global Asia, two leading magazines for the asset management industry and institutional investor market in the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia, undertake bespoke research for Funds Europe and contribute to the regular investment research reports from CAMRADATA.
Patel says: “Funds Global MENA and Funds Global Asia are highly respected publications with a growing readership. I look forward to covering all the latest news, trends and market insights for asset management professionals in the Middle East, North Africa and Asia. Another important part of my role will be to generate research for Funds Europe and work closely with the team at CAMRADATA to contribute insight and commentary to enhance its investment research reports.”
Ashford joins from Hargreaves Lansdown, where he worked as an Investment Consultant on the helpdesk assisting clients. In his new role, he will be responsible for maintaining all investment database information for CAMRADATA Live, assisting clients with research and producing investment research reports.
Ashford says: “My role at Hargreaves Lansdown was client facing, which I really enjoyed. I look forward to using that experience and knowledge and helping CAMRADATA’s clients with queries, assisted research and producing the investment reports.”
