Eisler Capital, a hedge fund firm run by former Goldman Sachs executive Ed Eisler, has returned all investment cash linked to Russia, following the country’s invasion of neighbouring Ukraine, according to a report by Bloomberg.
An internal memo seen by Bloomberg reveals that all Russia-linked capital affected by sanctions imposed by the US, the EU and the UK has now been redeemed.
Eisler Capital, which managed around USD4.3 billion at the start of 2022, was formed in 2015 by Eisler using a combination of his own funds and UD100 million from LetterOne Holdings, an entity linked to Russian oligarch Mikhail Fridman.
