Brian Treister, the former head of infrastructure for WorldQuant at Millennium has returned to the hedge fund just 14 months after quitting to join Meta, according to a report by efinancialCareers.
Treister who joined Meta as a senior engineer as part of the tech giant’s drive to recruit thousands of engineers to work on its augmented and virtual reality initiates, is now back at Millennium as head of Google Cloud Platform Engineering and cloud enablement.
If current recruitment adverts are anything to go by, Millennium is focused on building out its senior cloud expertise with firm advertising that it is moving to “Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS)” and to “Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).”
