BlueCrest, the hedge fund-turned-family office, founded by Mike Platt, has appointed Mahdi Besri, currently Head of MENA Rates and FX trading at HSBC in Dubai, as a Portfolio Manager, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.
Prior to his 12-year stint at HSBC, Besri spent a year working in equity derivatives at Credit Agricole in Paris.
Besri is the latest in a string of new arrivals at BlueCrest with firm having made recent appointments in Singapore, London and other locations.
