Quant hedge fund Squarepoint Capital has added to its teams in both Singapore and London with the appointments of Roman Colas as a quant researcher and Nicolas Landon as a fixed income quant researcher, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.
Colas joins from Hong Kong-based hedge fund Ovata Capital, which was founded by a group of former Bluecrest traders, where he served as a portfolio manager for two years.
Prior to that, he spent most of his career with investment banks including stints at Credit Suisse and director roles at both JPMorgan and Citi. His last banking role was APAC head of stocks derivatives trading at Deutsche Bank.
Landon, another DB alumnus, joins Squarepoint’s London operation from Millennium having joined the multi-strategy major in mid-2021 after a five-year spell at Deutsche.
