Elementum Advisors has been appointed by one of the largest North American pension plans to manage a risk-linked investments mandate focused on collateralised reinsurance investments.
While the terms of the mandate are confidential, it funded in May 2010 and has an absolute return target.
Elementum Advisors is an independent, SEC-registered alternative investment manager specialising in risk-linked investments.
The firm was formed in 2009 by Tony Rettino and John DeCaro, the former heads of Stark Investments’ reinsurance and risk-linked investments team, and Michael France, portfolio manager with the group.
