AlphaGrep appoints CEO of domestic investment management arm

AlphaGrep, a global multi-asset, quant-based proprietary trading firm founded in 2010 by University of Pennsylvania alumni duo Mohit Mutreja and Parshant Mittal, has appointed Bhautik Ambani as the chief executive officer of its domestic investment management unit in India.

In his new role, Bhautik, who helped the firm launch its maiden AlphaMine Absolute Return Fund – a Category III alternative investment fund – will be responsible for driving business growth, strengthening and expanding the firm’s domestic presence, and enhancing customer experience.  

Prior to joining AlphaGrep, Bhautik was a managing director & partner at Avendus Capital Public Markets Alternate Strategies. He has also previously worked at Ambit Capital, Kotak Wealth Management, and Mirae Asset, in various roles and leadership positions.
