Alternative asset manager AlphaQuest LLC has named John Neary as President, effective immediately. Neary will oversee all functional areas at the $2bn research-driven firm, reporting directly to Founder and CIO Nigol Koulajian.
Neary brings more than 30 years of experience in trading and capital markets, including leadership roles at Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs, as well as serving as COO of Fundamental Strategies and Global Credit at Citadel. He is also the founding principal of 3000Kings LLC, an advisory boutique focused on scaling growth equity enterprises in capital markets infrastructure, regulation, and sports & entertainment.
At AlphaQuest, Neary will support the firm’s expansion beyond futures into broader global markets, enhancing research capabilities and technology to capture mispriced convexity across asset classes.
Neary holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in History and Economics from Yale University, and has a long record of nonprofit leadership in New York City.
