Bay Street Advisors strengthens hedge fund practice with new Director hire

Executive search firm Bay Street Advisors has expanded its hedge fund and alternatives practice with the appointment of Dominique Lawrence, who joins from joins from Jackson Lucas, as a director, according to a report by Hunt Scanlon Media.

Lawrence previously specialised in senior leadership placements across hedge funds, private equity, and alternative investment firms.

At Bay Street Advisors, Lawrence will act as a strategic advisor to hedge fund clients, focusing on corporate development, investment strategy buildouts, and external capital allocation.

The firm, founded in 2009 by Larry Baum, provides executive search and strategic advisory services to investment banks, asset managers, hedge funds, and private market investors. Baum, who previously led global foreign exchange trading at Bank of America, emphasises building world-class investment teams and institutional platforms.

This latest hire follows Bay Street’s broader push into private markets and alternatives. Earlier this year, Sloan Warren joined as vice president in the private markets and investment banking practice, focusing on private equity, private credit, and alternative asset management. Under the leadership of Edward Fernand, who heads the growing alternatives practice, these appointments aim to meet rising demand for top-tier investment talent.
