Carne Global Financial Services Limited has appointed Yvonne Connolly as part of its goal to build on its market leading specialisation in corporate governance for regulated financial products.
Carne is already considered one of the leading advisor on products like UCITS, QIFs and CIFs in a range of jurisdictions, and provides management companies for many Dublin-based regulated funds.
Connolly comes to Carne with over 20 years of experience in the investment funds industry and will also be part of the firm’s team of independent directors to investment funds. She is an expert in product development which Carne clients will be able to draw on when launching new funds.
Connolly has worked at a senior level for several leading institutions in the fund management industry, including State Street, Bank of New York Mellon, and Deutsche Bank. She joins Carne Dublin which services over 40% of Irish regulated funds.
“We are delighted to be able to add Yvonne to our existing Governance team and continue to expand our market leading position," says John Donohoe, CEO of Carne. "She will help us to enhance the advice we give to clients on their corporate governance requirements, including critical areas like local substance and oversight. We expect our expertise to assume yet more importance for fund managers next year with the tightening of regulatory oversight, UCITS, Alternative Funds and Re-domiciliation’s. Yvonne will play an important role in assisting our clients in their product development and compliance affairs.”
