Citadel has further strengthened its treasury quant team with the appointment of Tushar Singla as the new head of international treasury quants, based in the firm’s London office, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.
Singla joins from Goldman Sachs, where he spent nine years, including his most recent role as EMEA Head of Equities Funding Strategists.
At Goldman, Singla initially joined the firm’s Bengaluru office as a graduate in 2016, before moving to London in 2020. He was promoted to his leadership role just nine months later, reflecting his rapid ascent within the firm. Singla’s expertise in quantitative strategy and funding markets will be key to Citadel’s expanding treasury team as the firm continues to optimise its investment strategies.
Singla’s hire follows that of Mukunth Raghavan, who joined Citadel last September as the Americas Head of Treasury Quants. Raghavan, based in the US, was previously at Goldman Sachs, and his appointment marked a significant step in Citadel’s drive to bolster its quantitative operations.
Raghavan and Singla have worked together before within Goldman’s equities and prime services team, bringing a strong working relationship to their new roles at Citadel.
