Hedge fund Citadel has added several London-based portfolio managers to its Fixed Income and Macro business, with the $63bn hedge fund confirming three new hires who will take up their new roles between November of this year and mid-2025, according to a report by Reuters.
Citadel has brought on board Bernard Singer and Ravi Vinda, both joining from hedge fund Brevan Howard. Singer will serve as a Portfolio Manager, while Vinda will take on the role of Associate Portfolio Manager. Both are set to start in mid-2025.
Additionally, Christine Boykiw, who previously worked at Barclays, has been hired as an Associate Portfolio Manager and will assume her new position in November.
In August, Jacob Westin, formerly a portfolio manager at Point72, also joined Citadel’s Fixed Income and Macro team in London.
The report cites unnamed sources familiar with the manger as highlighting that these new hires are part of Citadel’s broader initiative to expand its macroeconomic trading capabilities.
Both Vinda and Boykiw will participate in the portfolio manager development programme, which is geared towards developing talent into full PMs, led by Sam Finkelstein. who joined Citadel from Goldman Sachs Asset Management earlier this year to oversee the macro-focused programme within the fixed income and macro division.
