Digital Currency Group (DCG), the company that owns cryptocurrency trading, lending, and asset custody platform Genesis, and digital currency asset manager Greyscale Investments, has appointed Mark Shifke as its Chief Financial officer (CFO), according to a report by CoinDesk.
Shifke’s appointment fills a gap created by the departure of former CFO Michael Krainses who stepped down from the role in April.
Since then DCG’s finance department has been run on an interim basis by Chief Strategy Officer Simon Koster.
Prior to joining DCG, Shifke served as CFO at Billtrust, a developer of accounts receivable–software, and CFO of Green Dot, a mobile-banking company and payments platform used by Apple, Walmart and Intuit.
