London-based crypto hedge fund Fasanara Digital, led by Nikita Fadeev, is continuing its rapid build-out, attracting senior hires from some of the biggest names in traditional finance and quantitative trading, according to a report by eFinancial careers.
The fund – a $500m digital assets division of Fasanara Capital, which manages around $5.5bn across strategies – has added Conor White, former Head of Technology for Citadel in Europe and Asia, as Head of Front Office Technology, alongside Jerome Busca, a former portfolio manager at Millennium Management. A third senior recruit, described as the new Head of High-Frequency Trading, is understood to have joined from Tower Research Capital.
Fadeev, who launched Fasanara Digital in 2021 at age 25, says the firm plans to grow its team to 30 people by Q1 2026, with a focus on DeFi, market-neutral yield, and on-chain automation strategies.
Fasanara Digital’s systems were tested during the recent crypto selloff earlier this month, which Fadeev described as the fund’s highest-volume trading day to date, but “performed well”.
