Pedro Videira e Castro has left BlackRock, where he has been since starting his career almost 13 years ago, to join Man Group, the world’s largest listed hedge fund firm, as a Managing Director and Head of Portfolio Engineering, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.
At BlackRock, Videira e Castro was Director of Risk and Quantitative Analysis and managed a team of quant risk managers covering EMEA multi-asset strategies and solutions.
In his new role, he will head up Man’s quant investment team in the company’s solutions division and is already looking to bring in new talent. According to Videiro e Castro’s LinkedIn, there is currently an “exciting opportunity for an Associate level role” on his new team.
