Taula Capital, a new hedge fund backed by Millennium Management which is set to launch with as much as $5bn in assets, has hired Ilana Kaufman, a Sales & Trading Vice President at Bank of America, as a Portfolio Manager in its fixed income team, according to a report by Bloomberg.
The report cites people familiar with the matter as confirming that Kaufman will join Taula Capital in April. She worked in dollar swaps sales and trading at Bank of America for nearly three years, prior to which she was at JPMorgan Chase & Co, according to her LinkedIn profile.
Taula, which will specialise in relative value rates trading, has secured $3bn from Millennium, according to Bloomberg, with external investors providing the rest of its launch capital.
