Multi-strategy hedge fund major Millennium Management is moving its European HQ to the firm’s former offices in Mayfair following a complete overhaul and extension of the property, according to a report by the Evening Standard.
The report cites an emailed statement as revealing that Izzy Englander’s firm has signed a long-term lease for the entire 175,000 sq ft (16,258 sq m) of office space at 50 Berkeley Street.
Millennium had previously been based at the Berkeley Street premises since 2004, but recently moved to temporary accommodation at 20 Grosvenor Street run by Blackstone Inc and Brockton Capital’s flexible office operator Fora.
Millennium, which employs more that 5,500 people globally and has over 310 investment teams managing $61.4bn in assets, has also expanded its operations to Dublin, Dubai and Tel Aviv in the EMEA region in recent years.
