Mindy M Posoff, president of Traversent Capital Partners in Philadelphia, has been elected to HighMark Funds’ seven-strong board of trustees.
Posoff, an investment management consultant, succeeds the retiring Robert M Whitler, a trustee since December 1998, and former executive vice president and chief trust officer of Union Bank, N.A.
HighMark Funds offers a wide range of mutual funds including world class fixed income funds, domestic and international equity funds, money market funds, and asset allocation portfolios.
“HighMark Funds is grateful to Bob for his 12 years of distinguished service and leadership on our board of trustees,” says HighMark Capital Management Chief Executive Officer and President Earle Malm. “Bob was instrumental in starting the fund company and he will be missed by all of us. We are also pleased to have an industry veteran like Mindy join as a trustee as her experience on issues of strategy, organizational development, technology, and operations will provide tremendous value to the board.”
Most recently, Posoff was a co-founder of NewMarket Capital Partners where she was the firm’s chief operating and compliance officer, as well as co-head of sales and marketing. In this role, she directed the day-to-day operating activities as well as the firm’s business development and implementation strategies. Prior to NewMarket Capital Partners, Posoff held numerous leadership positions at E*Trade and Credit Suisse First Boston.
Posoff currently serves as a member of the board of directors and vice president on the executive committee of 100 Women in Hedge Funds. She is also a member-director and president of the board of the Samuel S Fels Fund. In 2007, Posoff was appointed by Pennsylvania Governor Edward G Rendell to the board of trustees of Salus University, formerly the Pennsylvania College of Optometry.
