Myo Capital Advisers and MCAM Group sign international marketing agreement

MCAM Group, a leading provider of marketing solutions for the alternative investment industry has entered into an agreement with Asian distressed and special situations fund manager Myo Capital Advisers to manage Myo’s international marketing, sales and public relations efforts.

Myo Capital is a Hong Kong-based fund manager that specialises in investments in Asian distressed and special situations opportunities, and was founded in 2007 by ex-ADM Capital director Justin Ferrier. The firm has received a commitment of up to USD150 million from Singapore-based DBS Asset Management for the Myo Capital Special Situations Fund I, a private equity fund with a three-year investment period and three year divestment period and a target return of 20-25% annually. The fund will invest mainly in illiquid investments such as distressed local-currency loans, senior secured leverage loans, distressed Asian bonds, and primary and secondary special situations. Myo Capital is targeting total commitments of $300 million for the fund.

MCAM Group will through this arrangement play an important part in developing the Myo Capital brand and market the firm’s investment products to investors internationally, initially focusing on raising assets for the Myo Special Situations Fund I. MCAM Group’s solution offers a comprehensive suite of marketing services designed to help alternative asset managers capitalise on their strategic objectives of asset growth, product development and brand awareness.

MCAM Group was founded in 2009 by a former director at Cube Capital in London, and currently counts several well-known alternative asset managers as clients, and has continued to expand its service offering in the current buoyant climate for the alternative investments sector.
