Ocorian’s recently-appointed Head of Luxembourg and the Netherlands, Jean-Marie Bettinger, has further strengthened his local leadership team with the appointment of two well-known figures in the fund administration and depositary market – Graham Dew and Yves Cheret.

Dew (pictured) joins Ocorian as Head of Depositary Services and will play a key role in leading and shaping the company’s new depositary service offer (for which the CSSF licence is imminently pending). Dew brings 30 years’ experience in banking, maritime and the funds industry, with a particular focus on alternative asset classes gained in London and Luxembourg with Ermitage, Rothschilds, Fortis, JP Morgan and Vistra.

“I’m excited to join Ocorian and to drive the build out its depositary service,” Dew explains. “Ocorian is committed to growing a robust and responsive fund service offer for the Luxembourg market, and a localised depositary service is central to that.”

Des is joined by Cheret Ocorian’s new Executive Director – Authorised Manager in charge of its fund administration service in Luxembourg. Cheret has worked in the alternative investment industry for over 10 years and has extensive knowledge of private equity, real estate and venture capital. He is also fluent in five languages: German, French, Luxembourgish, English and Dutch.

Explaining his decision to join the business, Cheret, says: “I was very impressed by Ocorian’s fund service offer but especially its technology solution, which is very different to anything else available in the market. They’ve also got a great book of business which I think has enormous potential for expansion.”

Both Dew and Cheret will report to Jean-Marie Bettinger who joined Ocorian in March this year, tasked with supporting the company’s ambitious global expansion plans through the growth and development of its operation in Luxembourg.

“This is an exciting time for our business,” Bettinger says. “We are building an impressive portfolio of services and an experienced and professional team to deliver them in what is an attractive but still complex market.”
